My homage to the native cultures of North America. This mild steel skull was hand fabricated to have a look of sorrow and despair. Mounted on a simple stand, it is meant to draw you down to its level. 31 golden eagle feathers adorn the headdress. Each feather is heat and brass transferred coloring. The feather accents are reclaimed copper from a wall in Mt. Crested Butte, CO. Turquoise added to represent the minerals and land taken. The red is to represent all the lives lost and blood shed. A simple copper headband to honor the traditions.
